360-Degree Interactive Technology Learning Lab

The WCLD January Learning Lab is hosted by Swansea University via Zoom. The event will take place on Tuesday 24th January at 4:30pm – 6:00pm.

This a great opportunity to hear how digital technology can enhance learning experiences for our learners. Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and 360-Video are terms we may or not be familiar with but the potential they offer to help us in planning for more meaningful, authentic experiences as part of Curriculum for Wales is vast for across all AoLEs.

When designed with a clear purpose they can provide learners with an immersive learning experience that takes learners beyond the classroom walls.

The benefits of this include a heightened emotional response and a risk-free environment to learn in.

The Vivista software, designed by PXL University of Applied Sciences in Belgium, enables the integration of interactive elements within the 360-degree environment. Therefore, additional learning content, such as information, images and questions can be layered onto the 360-video. Whilst this has the potential to enhance learning, it must be structured with a sound pedagogy and with a clear goal of improving the learning experience. There are also numerous technical and practical challenges that practitioners may face when recording, editing and creating an interactive 360-video.

This laboratory will help you to understand the potential of technology and explore some of the challenges with colleagues.

Dyma gyfle gwych i glywed sut y gall technoleg ddigidol gyfoethogi profiadau dysgu ein dysgwyr. Mae Realiti Estynedig, Realiti Rhithwir a Fideo-360 yn dermau y gallwn fod yn gyfarwydd â nhw neu beidio, ond mae’r potensial y maent yn ei gynnig i’n helpu i gynllunio profiadau mwy ystyrlon, dilys fel rhan o Gwricwlwm i Gymru yn enfawr ar draws yr holl MDPh.

Pan fyddant yn cael eu dylunio â phwrpas clir gallant roi profiad dysgu trochi i ddysgwyr sy’n mynd â nhw y tu hwnt i furiau’r ystafell ddosbarth.

Mae’r manteision yn cynnwys ymateb emosiynol dwysach ac amgylchedd diogel i ddysgu ynddo.

Mae meddalwedd Vivista, a ddyluniwyd gan Brifysgol Gwyddorau Cymhwysol PXL yng Ngwlad Belg, yn galluogi integreiddio elfennau rhyngweithiol o fewn yr amgylchedd 360 gradd. Felly, gellir gosod cynnwys dysgu ychwanegol, megis gwybodaeth, delweddau a chwestiynau ar y fideo-360. Er bod gan hyn y gallu i wella dysgu, rhaid iddo gael ei strwythuro gydag addysgeg gadarn a chyda nod clir o wella’r profiad dysgu. Mae yna hefyd nifer o heriau technegol ac ymarferol y gall ymarferwyr eu hwynebu wrth recordio, golygu a chreu fideo-360 ryngweithiol.

Bydd y labordy hwn yn eich helpu i ddeall gallu’r dechnoleg ac archwilio rhai o’r heriau gyda chydweithwyr.
